TURKEY producer Cranberry Foods, is joining in the festive cheer by donating 60 of their British turkeys to the homeless charity – Save the Family.
Save the Family makes every effort to ensure that every homeless person in their care, in particular the children, experience a very special Christmas.
Throughout the year the charity tries to keep homeless families together, providing key life skills training to help them to resettle in the community and not become homeless again.
The turkeys were presented to Rachael Hillier of Save the Family by Andrew Lewins, joint managing director of Cranberry Foods.
He said: “Cranberry Foods is delighted and proud to assist Save the Family with their appeal for Christmas Turkeys.
“We believe that Christmas is a very important time for families to be together and that a whole roast turkey is still the number one choice for the most important meal of the year.”
Rachael said: “We are delighted that Cranberry Foods were able to assist with our appeal for turkeys this Christmas. Their generosity means that more than 80 families in our centres across the UK will have the opportunity to sit down together and enjoy a healthy, hearty Christmas lunch.”
