Cheshire businessman in top 50 event industry list

KEITH Austin, who ismanaging director of Cheshire-based Event Marketing Solutions (EMS), has been voted one of the top 50 most influential practitioners in the UK events industry.

The annual Event 100 list – published by industry magazine Event – ranked Keith at number 43 in the 2009 list of top professionals from the experiential, creative and live events sectors.

The rankings were based on an online poll involving more than 2,000 industry professionals.

Keith is the only North West business-owner named in the top 50 list, which is dominated by London-based agencies, venues and in-house practitioners.

He said: “I am delighted to be included in the list but surprised not to see more northern venues and agencies in there. There is such a wealth of creative talent up here, perhaps we just need to be better at shouting about it.”

EMS specialises in organising national and international face-to-face marketing campaigns using its extensive fleet of sophisticated mobile exhibition vehicles.

Major new client wins during 2009 include: a six-figure B2B roadshow for Motorola and a 43-week campaign for the British Heart Foundation – believed to be the biggest face-to-face campaign in its history.
