Tabitha, 14, guesses her way to ring success

TABITHA Lord, 14, from Malpas, won a ring worth more than £200 from Rigby Jewellers in Frodsham Street.

The ring was presented to Tabitha by director, Jason Rigby.

A large ring was frozen into a block of ice on Eastgate and Bridge Street. The real ring was won after correctly guessing how long the ice would take to melt and release the ring.

Tabitha was the closest to estimating the final melting time of 70hrs 30mins. The competition was run by Chester City Council, Dee 106.3 and Rigby Jewellers.
