CHESTER based management, engineering and development consultancy, Mott MacDonald, has been named International Consultant of the Year 2008, at the prestigious NCE/ACE Consultants of the Year Awards.

Mott MacDonald, which along with its quantity surveying business Franklin & Andrews employs more than 140 staff in its Chester office, triumphed in the international category at the awards.

Hosted by industry title New Civil Engineer (NCE) magazine and the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), the awards celebrate outstanding business performance by UK civil engineering consultancies.

The judges praised Mott MacDonald for establishing itself as a global firm. It was noted in particular for its record global growth, which in 2007 reached 20% for the second consecutive year.
