POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was airlifted to hospital following a crash on the A51 Tarporley Road.
The crash happened at about 12.50pm on Sunday, August 9, on the A51 near O’Kells Nursery, Duddon.
A green Porsche driven by a 48-year-old man from the Wirral collided with a Volkswagen Passatt, driven by a 74-year-old local man.
A North West Ambulance spokeswoman said: "Two ambulances and a rapid response team attended the scene."
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended to help free the Porsche driver from his car and he was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital by air ambulance.
He sustained two broken legs and his condition is described as stable.
The driver of the Passat received a minor head injury.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, particularly anyone who was travelling on the Tarvin-bound carriageway at the time, or prior to the incident, who has any information to contact Chester Traffic Unit on 0845 458 0000.
