JOANNE Hill has been found guilty of murdering her four-year-old daughter Naomi.
A Chester Crown Court jury took less than two hours to consider its verdict today (Tuesday, September 23).
The eight men and four women were sent out at 12.50pm today by judge Elgan Edwards, the recorder of Chester, as the trial entered its third week.
But they returned just after 2.30pm to reveal that they had found Hill, 32, of Goya Close in Connah's Quay, guilty of murdering Naomi.
Hill had admitted killing the child by drowning her in the bath on November 26, 2007. But she had denied murder.
A full report on the verdict will appear on our website later today.
