Firefighters rescue pensioner trapped in Chester house

A PENSIONER was rescued this morning (Wednesday, September 17) after she fell and became trapped behind a door.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service smashed a window to gain entry to the house, at Dorset Place, Kingsway, at about 7.30am today.

North West Ambulance Service spokesperson Tracey Leung said: “We received a call at 7.30am that a female who had fallen behind the door. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service attended to gain access. The female in her 80s was taken by ambulance to the Countess of Chester Hospital.”
