Sep 16 2008 Chester Chronicle
THE long search to find the next Face of Chester will come to an end tomorrow evening (Wednesday, September 17), as part of Chester Fashion 2008.
Guests and contestants at The Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel will find out which male and female will each receive a year’s modelling contract with North West agency Boss Model Management and take the coveted title of Face of Chester. This talent night at the St John Street based hotel starts at 7pm.
Last year, Tom Hill, 23, and Katriona Vowles, 19, took the top prizes in The Face of Chester. As a result, Katriona and Tom have jetted across the globe, with Katriona recently appearing on the catwalk in Milan.
Stephen Wundke, Chester city coordinator, said: “The Face of Chester is a fantastic way to kick start this year’s Chester Fashion fortnight.
“Katriona Vowles has had an amazing year working for Boss Model Management. The Face of Chester really launched her career.
I look forward to welcoming everyone to The Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel and wish good luck to all the contestants.”
Chester’s Fashion 2008 forms an important part of Chester Festivals and is organised on behalf of Chester City Management and Charisma, with support from Visit Chester & Cheshire, Creative Industries Support Project (CRISP), The Grosvenor Shopping Centre, The Forum Shopping Centre, HSBC, Marketing Projects PR and Chester Festivals.
Tickets for the Face of Chester cost £10, including a welcome drink and canapés; goody bags will be supplied by Debenhams. Booking is essential. For tickets and information call: 01244 323186 or email: paula.bullock@macdonald-hotels.co.uk
