MORE than 60 guests enjoyed tea and cakes at the Blooming Great Tea Party, held in Chester for the Marie Curie Hospice.

The event – hosted by professor John Ellershaw, medical director of the hospice, and his wife Monica – raised more than £550.

Meg Marshall, Cheshire Woman of the Year 2008, officially opened the tea party and presented the raffle prizes.
