The park covers nearly 90 acres and includes a network of paths leading to the top of a hill known locally as Picnic Mountain.
The summit boasts the beautiful ‘Time Shadow’ sculpture and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. You can turn around 360º and see views of Hope Mountain, Rhos, Wrexham and beyond Chirk. A circle of slabs surround the sculpture pointing in the direction of places of interest.
A designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, endangered Greater Crested Newts inhabit the site’s ponds, and Skylarks which are threatened with extinction, have a perfect habitat at Hafod.
