Chester FC: Blues sign Antoni Sarcevic from Crewe Alexandra on two-year deal

CHESTER FC boss Neil Young has pulled off a sensational transfer coup by signing Antoni Sarcevic from Crewe Alexandra on a permanent deal.

The exciting 19-year-old winger, who became an instant fans’ favourite during a short spell on loan at the Exacta Stadium last season, has signed a two-year contract with the Blues.

Sarcevic, who made 16 appearances for Crewe after joining the League Two outfit from Woodley Sports, will go straight into Chester’s squad for tomorrow’s league match at home to Matlock Town (3pm) if his paperwork goes through in time.

Young, who has worked tirelessly to complete the transfer after becoming aware of Sarcevic’s availability on Monday, said: “I’m delighted to be signing a player of Antoni’s quality. It’s a major signing for the club and I know he is made up to be joining Chester.”

Sarcevic took to Twitter to express his delight at signing for the Blues.

He said: “This is now a new start for me at a great club that is Chester FC and I’m looking forward to my time here – and can’t wait for tomorrow.”
