Chester FC: Newcastle Town Challenge Cup tie postponed

TONIGHT’S Evo-Stik League Challenge Cup tie at Newcastle Town was postponed after the Chester team bus was caught in severe traffic congestion following two accidents on the M56.
The Blues set off from the Exacta Stadium at 4.30pm, but by the time the referee was forced to call the game off at 7.15pm, they were still nowhere near the Lyme Valley Stadium.
Indeed, it was not until 8pm that the frustrated players, coaching staff and officials were able to eventually turn off the M56 at Junction 14 at Elton.
