Chester FC: Michael Aspin to go out on loan as Neil Young attempts to sign attacker

NEIL Young was last night attempting to seal a deal for a higher-league attacker – as Michael Aspin was getting ready to go out on loan.

Having missed out on Southport striker Chris Simm, Chester FC manager Young was keeping tight-lipped on the identity of his transfer target but revealed he is a player with experience at all levels of the Conference.

Young right-back Aspin, meanwhile, is poised for a temporary move to Blue Square South new boys Farnborough.

Young has high hopes for Aspin, a summer signing from Northwich Victoria, but he does not feature in his short-term plans.

So the Blues boss believes a loan spell will be beneficial for the 20-year-old.

Young said: “I don’t want my contracted players sitting around and not playing – I want them to be fit and ready to go when I call upon them.

“This will be a good test for Michael and we look forward to having him back.”
