CHESTER FC have swooped for their biggest name yet – the world famous Red Arrows.
The daredevil RAF display team will provide a special flypast over the Deva Stadium before the pre-season clash with Marine on Saturday week (August 7).
Blues board member Jeff Banks said: “It’s a major coup for Chester FC that the Red Arrows, the most well known air display team in the world, are going to give us their seal of approval for the reformation of our historic club.
“To my knowledge, I don’t think this has been done on a matchday in football before, so it’s a first not just for Chester FC but also for football, and I know the fans will have this unique memory for many, many years to come when the Red Arrows fly over the Deva Stadium.”
Chester’s friendly with Evo-Stik League Premier Division outfit Marine will kick-off at 3pm – with the Red Arrows due to fly past at 2.18pm.
