The fundraising evening – organised by the City Fans United group – will be the largest gathering of former Chester players in recent memory.

It is being staged next Thursday (December 3) at the Divas Show Bar on Station Road, Chester, and will be compered by comedian and Blues fan Bobby Brown (8pm start).

Those confirmed to attend are: Grenville Millington, Iain Jenkins, John Kelly, Eddie Bishop, John Thomas, Gary Talbot, Chris Lightfoot, Milton Graham, Alan Tarbuck, Brian Croft, Graham Abel, David Pugh, Graham Barrow, Ian Moir, John Butcher, Bob Delgado, Nigel Edwards, Dennis Reeves, Elfed Morris, Ian Seddon and Wayne Brown.

Many other Blues heroes are hoping to be there on the night. Tickets are £8 and fans can buy them online at www.cityfansunited.com or by calling CFU Events on 07925 519418 or Dave Cartwright on 07943 495841.

Young City fans are being invited to sign up for the Junior Blues club, which has been revived by the CFU.

The club, aimed at encouraging youngsters to follow City, is for under 16s. For just £5, each child will receive an induction package worth more than £20. To receive one before Christmas, applications – which can be made at www.cityfansunited.com and www.chestercitytv.co.uk – need to be received by December 4.
