Football: England World Cup winer Sir Geoff Hurst launches Mums on the Ball coaching scheme at Chester’s Deva Stadium
WORLD Cup-winner Sir Geoff Hurst went to the Deva Stadium with Eric Harrison, the former Manchester United youth coach who brought through talent like David Beckham, to launch a scheme to get mums involved in grassroots coaching.
The Mums on the Ball campaign is supported by the FA and McDonald’s and has been launched in Chester by McDonald’s franchisee Jeanette Roe to offer football skills coaching to mums who want to get involved with local junior clubs.
