Chester City FC: Mark Wright rules Bournemouth out of relegation scrap

AFC BOURNEMOUTH can no longer be considered as candidates for relegation, according to Mark Wright.

The Chester City manager expects the resurgent south coast club to keep on climbing the table now they have clawed their way out of the bottom two thanks to a run of four wins in six games.

The Cherries, who were docked 17 points at the start of the season, are just three points and one place behind the fourth-from-bottom Blues with a game in hand.

Wright, whose men are yet to win in 2009, said: “We’re in a massive, massive dogfight. We’re in a dogfight and I think it will go to the last few games.

“I don’t think Bournemouth are going to be involved in the dogfight. I think it’s going to be Accrington, ourselves and Grimsby.

“But if we win at Barnet on Saturday, then we could drag them back into it.”
