THE Blues have lost out in their pursuit of Bradford City midfielder Eddie Johnson.
Boss Simon Davies had offered the Chester-born 24-year-old a two-year deal, but Johnson has opted to sign for a League One club instead.
Davies said: “Eddie’s decided to sign a shorter-term deal for a club in a higher league, which is his prerogative.”
Davies is now close to tying up deals for two other midfielders, who are due at the Deva Stadium this afternoon.
