Chester City to play Leeds in Carling Cup

GARY McAllister will bring his Leeds United team to the Deva Stadium to face Simon Davies' charges in the first round of the Carling Cup.

The tie, to be played in the week commencing Monday, August 11, should bring a bumper crowd to Bumpers Lane and will offer a young Blues' side a strong early-season test, McAllister’s men having just missed out on promotion to the Championship last term.

The last time the two clubs met in the Carling Cup was back in 2006, when Eirik Bakke scored the winner at Elland Road.
