PAUL Taylor is expected to complete his on-off transfer to Chester City this week.
The Vauxhall Motors striker, 22, has been the subject of two failed bids from the Blues since the turn of the year. But both clubs held further transfer talks last week and now appear to have settled on a fee for the former Manchester City trainee.
A Vauxhall statement read: “Paul Taylor is to have talks with Chester City this week, subject to a medical, with a view to a transfer between the two clubs for an undisclosed fee.”
Chester had a £50,000 bid for Taylor turned down in January, and were also unsuccessful with a £30,000 offer earlier this month.
Taylor netted 17 goals in his debut season for Motors but was unable to save the Ellesmere Port side from relegation to the UniBond League. Incredibly, Motors have learned that they could be handed a reprieve as Nuneaton Borough look to be heading into administration – which would lead to them being relegated from Blue Square North instead of Vauxhall.
