CHESTER City are refusing to give up in their pursuit of Vauxhall Motors striker Paul Taylor.
The Blues had a £30,000 bid for the talented young forward turned down by their non-league neighbours on Monday.
But Chester owner Stephen Vaughan and Vauxhall chairman Alan Bartlam held further talks yesterday and there is a chance the move could be resurrected.
Liverpool-born Taylor, who was Motors’ leading scorer last season, is a former Manchester City trainee and has 12 months remaining on his Rivacre Park contract.
