Blues suspend experienced duo

PAUL Butler and Tony Dinning look to have played their last games for Chester City.

The veteran pair have been suspended for what the club is describing as alleged “serious breach of club discipline”.

The matter is being dealt with internally, but neither Butler, Chester’s 35-year-old club captain, nor Dinning, 33, are expected to figure in any of City’s remaining four matches this season.

Manager Simon Davies said: “This is an internal dispute, and the decision has been taken for the best interest of Chester City Football Club.”

Meanwhile, the Blues plan to report Inverness Caledonian Thistle to the FA for allegedly making an illegal approach to two contracted City players.
