CHESTER’S ridiculously threadbare squad is to be reduced even further with the imminent departure of the versatile Rhys Meynell.
The 21-year-old defender or midfielder has asked to leave and, with the Blues unable to pay their players what they are owed, he will be granted his wish.
Meynell, who was brought to the club by Mick Wadsworth in the summer, has set his sights on joining league rivals Kidderminster Harriers.
The Harriers are now managed by former Northwich Victoria boss Steve Burr, who signed Meynell when he was in charge of Stalybridge Celtic.
