WITH fluctuating form teams often require a confidence boost and the Cheshire Jets got one in convincing style as they blew hosts Essex Pirates away.
Playing in Milton Keynes as the Pirates struggled to secure their regular home for this rearranged game, the Jets were too powerful for the Pirates.
Jeremy Bell rediscovered his best form to sink 39 points and Matt Schneck, Mr Consistency in recent weeks, hit 28 as Paul Smith's side ensured the Pirates were rooted to the bottom of the BBL Championship.
This was a victory that sent a message at a crucial stage of the campaign, and one which, despite the standard of the opposition, will have grabbed the attention of Plymouth Raiders coach Gavin Love as Saturday's match between the Jets and the Raiders approaches.
