THE BBL Championship title race is heating up after the Jets defeated their second successive rival for the top honour.
Having already given themselves a head-to-head advantage over fifth-placed Sheffield Sharks, the Jets set about claiming their first win of the season over Glasgow Rocks with Paul Smith's now-fabled defence once more proving the difference between the sides.
The Rocks had never faced Matt Schneck before but for once it was not the big man who stood out - in fact offensively no-one stood out for the Jets as the load was shared well between the players with Quemont Greer leading with 18, Jeremy Bell bagging 17 and Colin O'Reilly sinking 15 points.
But with Schneck claiming five rebounds, Greer pocketing seven, O'Reilly eight and Gareth Murray six, the Jets competed well on the boards and did enough to keep the Rocks quiet and secure maximum points.
