A MIXED weekend for Cheshire Jets’ second string saw them lose at home to Burnley 84-38 on Saturday and travel to Newcastle Eagles 2nds on Sunday, claiming a 79-69 victory.
The first of their EBL National League Division Four clashes saw Phil Brandreth top-score for the hosts with 16 but it wasn’t enough as the Lancastrians brought their shooting boots and eased to victory.
Sunday’s game saw the Jets recover well from the disappointment, however.
Jets’ assistant coach Richard Murphy found himself in the zone as he downed 35 points, Ryan Gallagher contributing 13 as the Jets left the Eagles shell-shocked.
