Chester Chronicle Garden Competition 2008

Year of Gardens

CALLING the green-fingered brigade out there!

Do you reckon your garden is the best around?

Are you particularly proud of the quality of your floral display or the artistic flow of your landscaping?

If so, we’re giving you the chance to prove just how wonderful they are and win some great prizes into the bargain.

The Chronicle's parent company, Trinity Mirror Cheshire, is official sponsor of Cheshire’s Year of Gardens 08.

And to mark the fact, we are running our Beautiful Gardens Competition.

There are two categories you can enter – Large Gardens (detached houses) and Small Gardens (flats, terraces and semis).

Readers will be asked to vote to narrow the entries down to a shortlist of three in each category.

Judges (the editor, a representative of the sponsor and one other garden expert) will visit the six shortlisted gardens to decide who wins which prize.

The prizes on offer are £150 of Gordale Garden Centre vouchers for the winners, £100 for second and £50 for third in each category.
